La Fee Absinthe Parisienne
La Fee Absinthe Parisienne is made following an authentic 19th century recipe. Before diluting it is a clear, deep lime green colour and displays an attractive, fresh herbal aroma. Upon adding iced water its louche has great consistency turning a smoky and milky lime green. On the palate it is softly textured and refreshing with discreet spicy flavours and a flavourful mid-palate of anise. Rich and powerful, La Fee Parisienne is a harmonious absinthe full of personality.
Made in Paris according to a 19th century recipe containing Wormwood (Artemisia absinthium) and other aromatic herbs. It's the only absinthe endorsed by Marie-Claude Delahaye of the Absinthe Museum in France and was the first commercial French absinthe since the 1915 ban.
It was popular in the late 19th and early 20th century, especially in France, particularly among Parisian artists and writers such as Van Gogh and Lautrec. To read more about its fascinating history visit the Absinthe time line.
